Two moms walking with baby Gentle Parenting

THE TRUTH IS

Parenting is not (and never has been) one-size-fits-all.

As parents, we’re all just doing the best we can at any given moment.

With all of the parenting resources and styles out there, from gentle parenting to positive parenting to conscious and peaceful parenting, there isn't one instructional manual that gives us all of the answers. And that makes sense because each of us has our own values, strengths, desires, and perspectives that influence how we experience the world and therefore, how we parent.

The Hard News

Parenting can feel overwhelming.
Meltdowns and conflict will happen.
Judgment is everywhere.

The Good News

There are many ways to parent.
You can preserve connection through the meltdowns.
You can find your confident voice.

Motivated to make a difference through your parenting?

Change starts with you. When you’re able to dig underneath the surface of what’s going on, you find the answers you need. Your child’s behavior may be scratching the surface of what’s really happening and it may even be bringing up old childhood memories and patterns you thought you had forgotten about.

So, yes, while you have a role to parent them, you also owe it to yourself to reparent you in the process. When you take care of yourself in the way that you’re meant to, you get to model this for your child(ren) and those around you. This is where true transformation happens.
When you find healing, you find yourself, and you show up as the parent you always knew you could be. They were always there, to begin with, you just needed to go on a journey to find them. Most times? The answers we’re seeking are within us, not outside of us.

Chrissy has helped guide me as a mom since I was pregnant with my first kid and now, I feel confident with my parenting. Even in those moments of insecurity and anxiety, she is there with an empathetic ear to continue to provide me with non-judgmental advice. I truly don’t know where I’d be without Chrissy and am so grateful to learn from her. If you are looking to learn more about gentle parenting and want to align your values more with your parenting style, I couldn’t recommend her enough!
